Test your knowledge, lose graciously. Teams of up to six, £2 per person, winner takes the pot plus a bottle of house wine. Cash prize for second.

The full house cocktail list, two for the price of one. From the Queens Negroni to the Hampshire Sour — get there early, the bar fills up fast.
The Sunday roast
Hampshire beef rib, free-range chicken, slow-cooked pork belly, or roast cauliflower. Goose-fat potatoes, Yorkshire pud, all the trimmings, gravy that's been on the stove a while.
Live music on the terrace
First Saturday of the month, spring through autumn. Acoustic sets from local musicians — jazz, folk, the occasional surprise. Free entry, garden tables fill quickly.

One-off events, supper clubs and seasonal moments worth marking down. Tables go on sale four weeks ahead — bookings open by phone or online.

Two courses for £18 or three for £22. Tuesday to Friday, 12pm–2pm. A short, changing selection of seasonal dishes.

The full house cocktail list, two for the price of one. From 5pm to 9pm every Friday. The bar gets busy — get there early.
Sunday family
roast
Sunday roast for two adults and two children for £75. Includes a side of cauliflower cheese and a jug of gravy on the table.
Hosting something
of your own?
We host birthdays, christenings, off-sites, wakes and small weddings. The whole pub or a quiet corner — we'll cook for as few as ten or as many as a hundred.
