For nearly four centuries this has been the village's gathering place — and it still is. The original beams, the log fire, the garden in summer: people remember the room as much as the meal.
We host parties of ten to a hundred. A private dining room for small dinners, the snug bar for receptions, the garden for warmer months, or the whole building when the moment calls for it. Tailored menus, real ale, attentive staff, and a setting that's done this many, many times.

The Dining Room
Our main dining room with wood-panelled walls and an inglenook fireplace. Best for sit-down dinners and Sunday lunches.
The Garden & Terrace
Large scenic garden with covered terrace. Best for summer drinks receptions, parties and live music. Marquee available on request.
The whole pub
Exclusive use of the entire building and grounds. Best for weddings, milestone parties, and any occasion when you want the place to yourselves.
